Second Korea Co., Ltd. (the "Company") has this Privacy Policy, in line with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act, to protect your personal information and to handle any concerns about it quickly.
1. What we collect and why
- Parent account: email address — to sign in and to send service emails (plan expiry, offline alerts, weekly summaries)
- Child profiles: the child's name entered by the parent (a nickname is fine) and usage rules — to apply limits and show statistics per child
- Information sent by the child's PC: PC name, Windows version, Windows account names, a one-way hash of the PC's hardware identifier (to make sure each PC gets the trial only once), program version and last connection time — to connect the PC and show its status
- Usage records: usage time minute by minute, the name (executable file name) and window title of the app in the foreground at that time, and records of locks and extra time — to apply time limits and app limits, and to show statistics
- Screenshots: only if the parent turns them on, images of the child's PC screen taken at the set interval or when the parent asks, with the app name and window title at that moment — for the parent to review
- Payments: depositor name; cash receipt details (mobile number or business registration number); tax invoice details (business registration number, company name, representative, email); card payment results (card issuer, partly masked card number, approval number); for PayPal payments, the payer email and transaction ID that PayPal reports — to confirm payments and issue receipts. The Company never receives full card numbers or your PayPal login details.
- Inquiries: name, email, message and IP address — to reply and to prevent spam
- Collected automatically: the IP address used to request a sign-in code, and sign-in and language cookies — to prevent unauthorized sign-ins, keep you signed in and remember your language
2. Children's personal information
The information PC-Timer handles about a child (name, usage records, screenshots and so on) may belong to a child under 14. This information is registered and managed by the parent, as the child's legal guardian. The Company does not collect information directly from children or contact them. By signing up and installing the program, the parent consents to the processing of their child's information, and can view it, delete it (by deleting the child's profile, removing the PC or closing the account) or ask us to stop processing it at any time. Parents must tell their child about the recording and screenshots (Terms of Service, Article 3).
3. How long we keep it
- Screenshots: deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Usage records (usage time, app names, window titles) and records of locks and extra time: deleted automatically after 400 days.
- Parent account, child profiles and PC information: until you close your account. When you close your account, all of the above is deleted immediately.
- However, Korean law requires us to keep the following records separately for set periods: records of contracts, withdrawal of orders, payments and supply of goods (order number, amount, payment method, receipt details, email at the time of order) for 5 years, and records of consumer complaints and disputes (inquiries) for 3 years — under the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
4. Processors and international transfers
The Company uses the following companies to process personal information for the Service. We do not sell personal information or give it to third parties (except when required by law).
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — website and server hosting, storage of data and screenshots, sending email, and bot protection (Turnstile). Information is transferred over the network as you use the Service and kept for the periods above.
- NICE Payments Co., Ltd. (Republic of Korea) — processing credit and debit card payments
- PayPal Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) — processing PayPal payments. When you choose PayPal, the order number and amount are sent to PayPal, and the Company receives the payer email and transaction ID that PayPal reports. PayPal handles your PayPal account and payment details under its own privacy statement.
- Linkhub Co., Ltd. (Popbill) (Republic of Korea) — issuing cash receipts and tax invoices
- Telegram FZ-LLC (United Arab Emirates) — to alert the operator to new inquiries and orders; the sender's name, email and part of the message are sent.
If you do not want your information transferred to Cloudflare outside Korea, you cannot use the Service. You can send inquiries by email instead of the web form.
5. Your rights
Parents can view, correct or delete their own and their children's personal information, or ask us to stop processing it, at any time. Most of this can be done directly on the website. If you email the privacy officer below, we will handle your request without delay.
6. Deletion
When the retention period ends or an account is closed, we delete the information without delay in a way that cannot be recovered.
7. How we keep it safe
We encrypt all connections (HTTPS); store PC connection tokens, sign-in codes and parent PINs only as hashes; show screenshots only to the signed-in parent they belong to; and limit and log administrator access. We never ask for a password.
